This has been a great month. First I scored a Vendo 81B for 50.00 dollars and now I own the machine that I have been searching for, locally, for about 1 year. After parting with the 81B to a good friend a fellow addic, Vendobaldtops, I headed north to San Rafael. Their I scored a nice straight, original and complete vendo 56 round top. It has all the original parts and it even cools. The owner said it sat in his house for 10years he never got around to it. Since this score completes me, I will not be serching for any more machines this year but now focus on restoration. I have also been motivated in this direction from my wife threatening me.  '<img'>

Will post pics soon, via friend.

Well I paid a fair price for it. Not the killer deal I got w/the 81B, 1500.00. But at lest I bought it locally and did not have to pay shipping fees.

I'm Happy!

We can't always find killer deals. Or in my case, never. '<img'>
Anyway, still a great price for an amazing machine that will only continue to increase in value.
Very cool! I have always wanted an old 56. Good for you.

Yeah.... you're “done” till another machine pops up tempting you...
You'll find you can't pass them up cause when will the chance come along again?...
I still haven't restored anything.... stuff pops up... then just when I thought I could
and took my 81 apart the 56 showed up last year....
You may have been bitt'n by the collectors bug and you just don't know it yet!

And of course I close with... Need pics of the 56! Great machine and score...Congrats!!!
