Yes it's a 81A.
Yes I'm the one from the Team Camaro site.
The guy originally wanted $1000 but needed money right now so I knew I had a good score.
I'll start with clean up then put up some more pics.
Mild soap??

I use a generic dish soap, one of those small 99 cent brands and use it sparingly.
Nothing that is too harsh, (Dawn, Palmolive ect)if you keep your hands wet and in the soapy water
for long periods you'll know which ones are too harsh.
Your hands will itch. crack ect palmolive does it for me, so i now use rubber gloves
when cleaning the machine and parts.

Nice find! Treat that machine as if it were a 69 Camero R/S that had been sitting 30 yrs in a barn. You may need to use the high speed buffer and the proper sequence of cutting polish, but you will probably get the finish close to the color that is under the decal located above the coin entry. Avoid the white letters with the buffer, it will take them off.
The compressor gets detailed like the cars engine. And 3 panes of new door glass will make that machine look awesome. |
