OK.. you guys got me hooked on this stuff already, and I am looking everywhere I go for something to jump out at me. In our warehouse, I found 2 machines in decent shape... a Cavalier USS-8-64  - SN 279954
 Vendo V/VF63/7

Both I believe to be working... The Cavalier works for sure as we just unplugged it a year or 2 ago cause we didn't want to stock it anymore. The Vendo has been sitting for more than 12 years. I'll try to get some pics shortly. I like the style of my 83 better, but these are kinda cool too. Are these something I should load into my truck and find more room in the garage for? (my wife is going to be soo happy

Yes, you could trade these two small machines for a lot of 83's.| Quote (bubba @ Dec. 07 2005,12:01) | | I found 2 machines in decent shape... a Cavalier USS-8-64  - SN 279954

 Bubba,
Those machines aren't doing anyone any good at work...
 Bring them home!
And lastly, you'll soon find out that there will never be enough room!

I'm gonna have to plan this for a time when the wife is out for awhile. I may end up putting padding on top and calling that my bed! Now I am really kicking myself. As a kid, I used to collect beer bottles and soda bottles. Over the years, making room for more toys, most of my collection is gone.... So I think my new years resolution is to never throw away anything ever again!
Is there anyway to date these machines with the serial number? I saw the Vendo63 was made for almost 30years? Does the age matter or is it just the model that is important?

Have you looked at the soda-machines section?  It has a listing by manufacture, then various models from the manufacture.  Tries to show a picture, or at least an image, and gives some starting specs.  A place to start, then some of the people here will flesh it out with what they know.  Very helpful group.  Welcome aboard.

You might as well start making plans for a "soda shed".  The garage won't hold them all. . . You are starting to show signs of "the symptoms". |

You're hooked! Check out the photo gallery and some of the collectionsand when your wife thinks you have too much stuff have her check this guy out up North - www.falvocollectables.com - I look at this stuff as an investment also.
Most here would agree... I've never lost money on this stuff...
Anytime I get in a bind... I sell a few things the wifes happy then I buy something better.

Yeah with those machines you're gonna need signs, bottles, a couple candy machines, a gas pump, a few clocks and a dispenser or two... You're just getting started... It's all good!

 Bubba
 Welcome!

I bought my first machine last October & I currently have 6 machines. Plus I have sold two  machines to friends. The key is when the boss gets upset put one up for sale. Note I said put one up for sale but that does not mean it will sell.

Now the V-63 you have what are your plans for it? Can or bottle?

Vendo 63's are great to start with and learn on.
Easy acces to everything. Not alot to take apart and put back together.
