Calling for 18" to 2' by me in New Jersey..........my back hurts just thinking about it.

The snow machine is pumping right now in northern VA. Kind of fun to watch though. I'm like a little kid wondering how much will be on the ground tomorrow. We are forecasted for between 24 and 30" now, with even more to the west. I'm having a party tomorrow night. WooHoo!   happydrinkers

From NOAA:
Tonight: Snow and areas of blowing snow. The snow could be heavy at times. Low around 28. Breezy, with a east wind between 18 and 22 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 16 to 22 inches possible.

Saturday: Snow and areas of blowing snow. High near 29. Blustery, with a north wind between 17 and 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New snow accumulation of 5 to 9 inches possible.

Dan, if I was closer to you I would be over at you party tomorrow night for sure.
The only thing that would hold me back is the 24"to 30" of snow , can you maybe move a little bit south of your current location smile.

It's a little after 7 am, and we have at least a foot down by now.  18-24+ is the forecast with lots of wind.  I think I am going to take a whack at it today with the snowblower so it isn't such a monumental task tomorrow.

9:30 this a.m. and the snow is coming down. I'll have to measure, but last night we had about 12". I'd say we added about 8" more overnight.

Some shots from this morning, inside the DC Beltway.

Some creative naming of the storm, I prefer Snowtorious BIG, but there's also Snomageddon II and SNOvechkin.

I've got to make it into the city tomorrow for the Capitals/Penguins game, they're not sure that Pittsburgh can make it into town.
