I am going to take some of my machines and sell them at the show. Most of what I am taking though are not restored machines as this point. They are not junk, but they are not restored. Is that ok to sell at the show?? They are telling me that you get an inside booth? From what I remember, I remember the outside part of the show as the best and not the inside. Will it be ok for me to sell of some unrestored machines? Here is one that I am going to sell. You can see that it is in good shape, but not restored.

I don't know a lot about the inside part, But the outside on friday morning would be good time for you to try to sell some stuff. I think you could do really good at the Kane County show on Wednesday and Thursday before the Chicago show. I really found some bargins there. Single drink machines are really a hard sell right now. Didn't see a lot of movement on those there. Just my two cents.....

I agree outside is the best.... a lot of wheeling dealing then.... though I haven't been in a couple years so I don't know what kind of prices you might get.  Inside show is 90% restored stuff and prices are high..
I'm 99.99% sure I'm gonna be there... Hope to meet up with all that are going so we need to set a day and time!

I haven't been for a few years, but last time I split a booth with a guy we had access to the parking lot to unload, but that is where mostly all of the machines would be sold... I think you have to buy an inside spot just to be allowed in the parking lot area near the building, and that is where most happens at sunup or before on Friday morning or even on Thursday nite I'm sure there is some too. let's see what your taking and maybe you can sell the stuff before it even goes and we'll jus pick it up?

Well of course they will tell you you need an inside booth, it's additional money out of your pocket into theirs.  I would try to sell them outside, if they don't sell, you still break even (okay, less your gas and hotel expenses)

I'm pretty sure too that you need an inside booth to sell things outside.  They used to have a bunch of unrestored machines inside - of course that was 15 years ago!  oh

Thanks Everyone! I am going to start posting pics of machines I am going to sell. If anyone is interested in a certain machine, just pm or email me. My email is Seven181@aol.com. If you are going to the show, I can deliver the machine for you. As of right now, I will have to pay for an inside booth, but get to sell outside on Friday only. The fee is around $300. Here are some machines I am going to sell.

Chicagoland is like an adult Disney world. All those restored
slot machines, soda machines, signs, neons.....it is really nice
inside. This event pleases husbands wives children grandparents.
They are not there to buy unrestored stuff so if that parking lot
fee is as high as an indoor space you should pass.
The Kane County event, 10 miles away and 2 days prior, is
the place to sell unrestored machines and parts. I got there at
7:00 A.M. the first day and had to park a half mile away. Cash
was flowing and trucks were loading when I walked through the
gate.  Didn't see too many women or kids there though, maybe
that's cause the place is usually a livestock arena!     biggrin
Got really slow by Thursday afternoon and many vendors were
packing up to move to the parking lot of the bigger show.
Maybe some other people here can get a machine or 2 to
the show and share a space.    An SMC booth!
