Here's a Vendo 81B just finished. I think the Coke policeman looks good standing next to the machine.  Cool

The policeman looks a lot taller than the machine in this photo...is he really, or does it just look that way?

I was "junking over the weekend and came across a Policeman like that one in the picture.  The guy wanted $2200 for it.  Is that even close to the going rate?

Depends on if it was original and the condtion. One that is in original condition and is a 9 or better with original base can bring 2,500 and on up.

Yes,
but like all signs, they have suffered on value, but condition is everything..
there is a guy at Chicago the last few shows who has one for 3200 it's a pretty nice originall, but high I think,

however 8 or so years ago, i new of one that sold in the Gary Metz Auction for $7200 it was new old stock in original box...

So how does one twell if it's a repro, i know someone was making them in the 80's/90's..  One is on my wish list, but to far down the priorites

I think the back is different and the base is different also...I think the back is blank on the repops..
