I have one.  Have owned it for 20 years.  Hadn't planned to sell it, but it doesn't get much play anymore and I need to replace a scoring wheel solenoid.  I can post some pics if you like.

Here's a couple of quickies.  I can get specifics if you want.  Machine needs some work, but it is minimal.  Have  new repopped backglass still in unopened plastic wrap.  This machine was a daily driver until we redid our basement and my pinball space was converted into a kitchen space.

Dave,

When you get a hit, a man will pop up, out of the groove, and run to the corresponding base.  Example: If you get a single, a man runs to first.  If you get a double after the single, the man on first will run to third and a new man will pop up and run to second.  The running man unit is a very neat feature.

Brian,

The game looks nice.

I know someone in Ohio who had one for sale a week or two ago. I don't remember the model, but it had the running man unit and the pitcher actually "pitched" the ball from the side of the figure. I can check to see what model it was if you are interested.

I just posted the pics of the 1958 Williams Short-Stop I picked up on Saturday.  I have some questions about it if anyone can help.  Its not for sale but it works great and the running men playfield is amazing.  What do they go for in good working condition?  It may be my favorite game a ide form my United Midget Ally

Not sure on a price.  I paid $250.00 for mine years ago.  I would imagine that they are more than that now.

Running men are cool!!

It is the fan favorite in my basement.  Peolpe love it.  I have over five thousand plays on my game since I bought it in 2001.  It is the only game that I have ever bought that was working when I purchased it and it is the only game that I have owned that I never had to work on since I bought it.  I believe I oiled it in between the years, but that's all I've done.  William's are the Cadillacs of baseball games.

Larry,

I looked at the pitching motor and could not find any place to oil.  Do you know of any?  How about the running men?  Do they take oil?  Pelase help if you can.

I believe the running man units motor had oil ports.  Just a few drops will do.  Usually, there is brass bushings instead of ball bearings and you are just reoiling the felt pad that surrounds and lubricates the bushing.

I am not sure of the pitching unit.
