This was the one on eBay.40 miles from home. No one knew what it was. Yes on the lid.

So with it being so close to you, do you have any idea where it might have been used at in its service days?  Historical society or local paper might have some old photos that have it in action in the back ground if you new where it came from and didn't have anything better to do...

  Yea I was Watching It On & Off .But Forgot about it When the Grandkids Stayed over .Knew it was Old .Reminded Me Of the Other one that Has the Green Enameled Badges On it .

Automatic soda dispensers made their debut in 1933 at the Chicago World’s Fair when Coca-Cola introduced the Dole Master Dispenser. This was the first soda dispenser that was able to mix the carbonated water and cola syrup together automatically, which was then dispensed merely with a pull of the handle.
