I'm new to this, but this looks like a good deal.  Is it?

Looks to be a 110. Not too far from me 3 hours. Is it worth it?Huh?? Not sure. Kinda cool though in Canada Dry.

Was the Vendo 110 available in a generic (no-embossing) version?  glare Isn't this machine likely a Coke version that was repainted and decaled over?  Perhaps the embossing was hammered darn flat--God forbid!

Still looks like a pretty good deal--but then again--so many deals, so little approval from the War Department! laugh

Yes, there were generic ones...most of them were Dr. Pepper.  I would imagine there could have been some done up in Canada Dry.  Either way, how cool!  Neat looking machine!  Brian, you are much closer than me.  Nice find!

All of the generic 110's I've seen have all been LD VMC machines and this one is a SD Vendo machine.
I'd be wary of it!  Oo

Yes all generic machines were VMC with the LD mechs so this machine is a former coke machine with the embossing bashed in and a decal applied over the top.

It's hard to tell form the picture if the embossing was flattened, the Canada Dry Shield appears be large enough to cover  the coke embossing . The coin mech cover could have been replaced with something available, how many times have we found machines  that were crowbarred or busted into for the dimes?  Didn't VMC have their logo medallion on the middle bottom of the 110 door? If so, i'm not seeing it in the pic, or it was painted over

For the prce, definately  worth going to look at. If it appears to be a hack job, walk away with a thank you for the seller's time

My guess is that yes, it's a Coke , overpainted logo and decal on top... or bashed in... I've seen stranger things..
if it' only a coke and just a repaint,, 500 is about market value.. maybe a little high considering it would need full resto.

if it's an off brand and embossing is there, it's worth 500+... Brian, ask for more photos. or description from seller before driving down there.
