Galvanizing parts

Completely new to the site and to restoring machines. I purchased my very first machine - a Cavalier 96E to start with. I've seen some posts on re-zincing parts, and wondered about re-galvvanizing instead? Is there any pro's or con's?

Welcome to the board!
Powder coating seems to be first choice with hammertone painting second. Zinc/galv doesn't seem to hold up as well over time. Hopefully others will chime in.

Everything I do is done in gray hammer finish powdercoat. Ive painted in the past its easier and cost effective just to do it one time instead of having to do it over again later.
