Well, it has been a long process but I finally finished the Cole Spa! I have one issue with the small condenser switch in the last pic. When it is pointed up, it does not run, when it is facing down in this last picture, it runs all the time. I think it is only supposed to kick on when the cup drops into the dispenser. Does anyone know about this? Other than that, this think is up and running. You can see before and after pics.

It was not easy! It took over 8 months and many hours! I had to pull everything out and start from stratch. I had to put new tape on the wires and fix a few spots that were in bad shape. Had to put in all new lines and fan on the compressor. Look to enjoy my first real drink from it this weekend, then I think I will be selling it. Brian

We all see Vendo's and Cavaliers in our everyday searches. We so appreciate you sharing your rare and unusual soda machine finds Brian. Nice looking Cole Spa. I think it would be great for movie prop.

Spoon-feeding Newbies since 2001... Yeah..220,221 whatever it takes. Remember, all it needs is a shot of Freon! The Vendo V-83 is the '59 Edsel of the coke machine world. ;p Spray painting does NOT restore a compressor 11 is louder than 10... "Hope" is good, but it's not an action plan.

Hey all thought I would pop In......... Brian, Great looking machine, I had a few questions on this and if you or if anyone else has any ideas Im all ears. OK so I have a cup drop machine( actually 2) and wanted to know how do you clean the syrup lines and Pumps since I have no clue how long the old owners had these machines sitting? a diluted solution of Bleach? " dispensed through them followed by a huge water rinse"? Would that clean the pumps( inside) good enough to remove syrup from them? ( PS my 2 machines are postmix and have syrup pumps( electric). I will replace the lines that are exposed but the pumps..... ahhhhh Im lost. OK second, On this cole spa machine the tanks have clamps to keep the lids on, I have the tanks and lids too but no clamps so I didn't know if I can get some someplace or not?? I thin k thats it for now, I will get pictures when I get to them, right now Im still trying to make more time to finish projects but I dont seem to have much extra time( still working on a " Christmas present" for a Brother and his wife.....LOL Kinda late..... Thanks Adam

Great job on the Cole Spa! Personally, I would keep it, but maybe you have another cup vendor that you want to keep for your personal collection. I hope my Mills turns out that nice. Adam, I have some info. on cleaning fountain machines email me and I will send it to you. Funtronics also has a pamhlet for cleaning fountain machines.

Fantastic job Brian! So it is a 4-flavor Select-O-Matic type cup vendor - what flavors did you put in? What year was this machine in production? Don't see anyplace for a price decal - how much does it cost? Again, looks like new! Great work! Cheers

Hey Everyone! Thanks for the kind words. It was a very hard machine to restore. I had to replace all the lines and take apart the dispensers one by one, to clean. Not easy! It is a 4 select and I went with RC Cola, Orange, Non-Carbonated Orange and Cherry. It only has 3 tanks, so you can make on selectioni a non-carbonated. Also, it says $.5 on the sign. It is a 5 cent machine. I hope to run it tonight with flavors for the first time. I will post pics, when it gets going.

Excellent work Brian ! ! ! I'm glad you took on this project as so many machines of this type never get the attention needed to keep them from disappearing forever... Perhaps I can use a photo or two of the restored version for the Site...?
