I uploaded some photos of the 2008 Barrett Jackson.
I could not locate an 'add photo album' under "Shows and Events", I could only get to it under the Chicagoland 2007 album. So it is currently a subalbum of the Chicagoland album.
Maybe the powers that be here can move it into it's own album.
Dan Cooney had a booth and so did Jack Rudbeck aka Coca Cola Cowboy (his booth has the fantasy 81's - although he swears they are factory originals).
Enjoy!

Did you catch a price on the popcorn machine?
Have been watching the auction. Crazy money on some of the cars.

Are you referring to the one in the 545 pic?
It was like $3600

Yeah - Jack's stuff appeared nice on the outside, but too many decals for my taste - never looked at the inside, but the mechs were not completely restored - the mech would have been plated, but rejectors were basically untouched and there were no change-giver mechs. All of them were stripped down to straight sale mechs. He did not care as long as it took a dime and vended. In other words - not a full blown restoration and still charging $5000+ for a 56.

Thanks for all the pic's Tom.... so much pretty paint and chrome.

How can the CC Cowboy sleep at night, telling the world that the Orange Crush and
Nesbitts 81's were original production machines, when we all know they are fake?

I talked to Steve Ebner this afternoon and he laughed and said "He'll go to his grave saying that!"

If I were a betting man...I'd bet that he bought the RC81 stamping that sold a while back!

Great Photos....sure would like to make it there someday... Ahhh.... to be loaded and just go down with about a half mill to "play" with... Ok, back to reality.

The Orange Crush 81 must have some dings and scratches in it by now... he's been hauling that thing around for well over at least 8 years... I saw it at one of the Brinkman Shows in Minneapolis at least 8 years ago... maybe he made a few of them, cause i also have seen one in a private collection as well??? Funny though that he has been asked probably thousands of times about it's authenticity, and swears it's real, but will never pull the back off to show anyone or take photos of the emobossing.... HMMMM Cmon Jack! what's he asking for it these days??/ it was priced around 13k last time I saw it...

Thanks Tom for posting the photos... Next time pick me up one of those 53' vettes when your down there!

Ha! I sold Jack a 72 about 9 years ago... He had the Crush 81 then... He showed me pictures
of the door apart and of course it was all in primer. Said he found these with the Nesbitt's in a warehouse out west..... yeah.... anyway... I also noticed a Vendo Orange Crush 39 in pic 549.... Man here I'm looking for a Quikold OC for the wife.... and these guys are cutting them up left and right.. Agghhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! down
Bet they bring good money... there's a lot of cash walking around at that show... Heard there was going to be a 1948 Tucker there too.. a convertible (one from the line that wasn't completed)... Oh well....
And speaking of cutting and welding I have my Nichol Kola all welded up (the one cut in half I bought last summer) anyway I bought a incomplete 7up Quikold and cut the base off it.
I now have 2 pieces with the 7up logo on them that I don't need. I want to see if I can sell them to continue the funding for the Nichol Kola Restoration... Anyone interested?
I will be putting them on ebay in a couple weeks if not... just a heads up for you guys. ( and gals)
