Are these like what I'ver reffered to Freezer locks? I was wondering about them as well as the Squirt slider I just got has the locking mech all ripped out and would be hard to replace?
Like Pat said, would like to hear good and bad.

Would holes have to be drilled in the cabinet? What happens to
the existing lock assembly?

I still have everything would just have to buy a new crank for the bottle
loading door Plus I did have some one look at my 7Up slider a while back and
did not like the way the loading door opened up .
So for this slider that I'm doing I was thinking of doing a latch handle
to make it more user friendly( or customer friendly) .
so this is my reason to look into a latch handle
So again anyone installed one ? need to know the Pro's & Con's

The crank for the bottle door is simply a 3/8" allen wrench.
The only latch for a slider I can imagine is the ones used for the
sliders that have a countertop added to the lid and the side door
uses the quick-open freezer lock for quick access.

That is the one I'm thinking of too.. anyone here used one yet??/ My whole locking assembly is missing from the slider I am working on... so this is the only solution as reproduction lock assemblies are not available as far as I know...

I'd like to see what your order, where do you get it from and how much.
Also what do you need for the original door/part.
PM if you want or
signguy@cokenstuff.com
thanks

I have seen them before on sliders and they do look like little chrome freezer door handles. the ones I have seen do have to be drilled for mounting the brackets. I just like the old bolt type because they give you such a good seal. Like Moondawg said it is just a 3/8 inch allen wrench..

I agree.. but if that part is missing completeley... what are the options? No reproduction bolt type /allen wrench styles are available as far as I know? and the spot on the door I have is shot where one would be mounted?
Would be curious to see one in action? maybe I'll see one in Chicago?
