I was asked the other day for the colors I used on my machine and where I got them from. This is about the 10th request for this info so I thought I'd post it here in hopes that someone who may be looking will find it.

Red: PPG #MBC72302C
The previous owner of my house was VP of Coca Cola New England and worked there starting in the mid 40's. A variety of filler panels and such in the house were made of portions of unused billboards and large signs. I found one of these dated 4-46 that hadn't seen daylight since about that time and had the color scanned in by PPG. It matched to the number above.

White: PPG #MBC92134A
I buffed out a spot under the coin door of my Cav 96 and had that scanned too. It matched to the above color.

A pic of these colors is below.

I am looking at using these codes cross matched to Dupont paint #29198. Do you have any more pics of your machine? Thanks.

Bergy,
This thread is 8-years old and the member that started the thread is no longer an active member.
However, I did find some information recently concerning the refinishing of Coca Cola Coolers and paint codes. I scanned it in as a PDF file and submitted it to the site along with a couple of other files. They will be available in the downloads section as soon as Jim approves them.
