Last weekend I picked up this Vendo 63C I got off of EBAY.  I had to drive it about 250 miles, but I was going on a trip to visit my parents so it was only about 20 miles total out of my way.  I got a great deal on the machine ($120) but I didn't anticipate that the machine would have wheels on it and, of course, with the wheels my cargo door wouldn't close (by like 1 inch).  The seller didn't have the keys so I decided to lash the cargo door of my SUV shut.  Well, I got home and the pressure of the 300 pound machine pressing against the cargo door put the cargo door out of alignment such that it wouldn't close.  Total price for machine now $120 + $250 for body shop to realign hinges/door.  Oh well, lesson learned and I love the machine and after about 8 hours of elbow grease and the replacement of a light bulb the machine will become my daily vendor.  I've attached some before and after pics because I know the rules -- post pics.

Here are the pics before some rubbing compound and wax.

And here are the afters.  The swirls were not in the paint and were just wax buildup that I was able to take out with a finishing cloth.

Looks nice!  $370 is still a good deal for a V63.  I love having wheels on my machines - it's actually the first thing I put on, even before getting it out of the back of my truck.  '<img'>

Looks great!  What do you have it stocked with?  Anything you found locally here in VA?  I'm always looking!

Did you see this one?

Cleaned up great.  Are you going to put a lighted sign in it or leave the metal?

BryanH--I'd love to put a lighted sign in it.  Do you know about how much they run/how often they come available?

Halehouse, as a birthday gift my in-laws got me some bottled soda from West Jefferson, NC.  They live about 75 miles from the bottling plant.

ZMonet -

You can buy the sign (just the plastic part) from Funtronics for about $40.  Then, Josh (loman4ec) has said you can have a place like Michael's frame it for you.  To wire it, go to Lowe's or Home Depot and buy a cheap flourescent lit kit (about $15).  All you have to do it wire it into sockets 1 and 2 in the Jones plug receptacle.

Nice looking 63! '<img'>
