Hi Dave
Some of the really old pins(I believe you guys call them pin tables) didn't have flippers. You just shoot the ball, and towards the bottom of the playfield their are different holes for the ball to fall through. The hole determined your score, and payout, as they were also used sometimes as gambling devices, the proprietor of the establishment did the payout.

Many a night was spent at the bowling alley with one of the old number one of these. I think they were called balley O or maybe that is what we called them. Get 100 points and go and see the owner of the alley and he paid you off and reset the machine.

My Mr. Pinball Guide and Price List doesn't go back that far and the
Internet Pinball Database
only shows some pictures and the original ad for it.
You going to go for it?

Not at the moment. Have to try and convince the Mrs to allow me to move a Jukebox to the bedroom to free up space in my room.
If there is no interest I might throw in a silly bid towards the end.
I really want a pinball but "Her indoors" hates them and as she gave lots last year might have to meet her midway for the begining of this ear.

Dave I have one of these pinball's. They are actually called payout machines. Mine is a 1932 Bally's "Prospector". It has a gold miner on th playing field panning for gold. It cost a nickel to play and payout nickels depending on your "skill level" (luck on putting a ball in the right holes)
