All,

I've started working with my neighbor on a CSS-64.  It has a terminal block in the machine where all the wiring meets.  I've seen Dr. Galaga's scans of some wiring diagrams, but this terminal block seems to be a little different.  It has double spades on each side.  Unfortunately, I don't have a photo.  On Dr. G's scans (a CSS-80 I think), there was only one spade on each side, which would be easily bypassed by a simple connector.  However, what to do about the double spades?

Sorry if this was clear as mud.

Inside the junction box there were a few double spades.  They were a few H shape connectors in the box.  All of my parts are in baggies in a few boxes right now.  I'll see if I can find it tomorrow and take a pic for you of the inside.  If you are looking for a new one, Funtronics is reproing them.  They are item number 38e.

Wayne, I just looked at my C 64. The double spade allows 2 wires to connect to each terminal.    Let me know if you need wiring order

Glen/Brent,

Thanks for the info.  This is what I thought.  I just gotta get my neighbor to take a photo of the wiring diagram (or go over and take one myself) so I can figure out all the stuff we will need to rewire it.  That block takes the long, non-insulated connectors, and I was thinking of just bypassing the whole thing, since I have a bunch of the insulated connectors and can just pair up the wires as needed instead of buying the non-insulated ones.  I can get all the insulated connectors I need here at the office, but we don't carry the other style.  Thanks again.

Stop at your auto parts store on the way home tonight and pick up the proper connectors.  Your work will not only look better, but someone other than you may have to work on that machine in the future.

Glen,

Good point.  I'll check the local auto store.

Brent,

That's not the block like my neighbor has.  His block has double spades horizontally.  Yours looks vertical.
