I would like to say "Hello" from Ohio. I am a new member here, looks like alot of great people and info here. Thanks for the site!! Here's my story: My neighbor Don asked me if I was interested in his Vernors pop machine for 50-. It was sitting in his garage with his 57 Chevy. He is one of those guys that everything is nice at home. You could eat off his garage floor! I went to take a look and it was a Vernors and I LOVE Vernors. So I actually pushed it home 3 houses away. ( It is mounted on casters, how cool is that? ). It had not been on for 5 years or so, but appears to work perfect and gets good and cold. Now it's mine!!! I would like to know the actual value and year, also have a few questions regarding the machine. It is a Vernors Vendolator. Model VFA56K-A Ser.# 408025144 height is 50 1/2 width is 25 Condition is nice, appears to have been kept inside most of it's life. It is a dime machine. Some dimes work, others wont?'>? Nickels work every time. It is missing 3 shelves (I think). The shelves are adjustable for size of bottle. Even works with the weird plastic pop bottles.. But I will use it mainly for...BEER. What info do you have for me? Your time is greatly appreciated. Can't get my pics to work?? Could I email them to someone( my pics ) to post for me?

Thanks guys for all the offers to post my pics. Well.... what do you think? Year, desirable or non, value, are there shelves available. I think a glass door to view the bottles would be cool. Is something like that available? Thanks again for any replies! I may be hooked now......I will now be on the "look out"! '>

Here's a shot of 90wreck on the road with his machine. Your wife should have gotten an "action" shot of you pushing it! (Good thing you don't live on a gravel road.)
I'll let some more of the gang pipe in about repro parts, but you can find the door and shelves as used - someone here may even have some extras.

Welcome! You definitely did not go wrong for $50! 1960's? I think the Vernors graphic is pretty cool. I would think a glass door would be a fairly easy switch. Can we get pics of the inside?
Where in Ohio are you? I grew up in the Youngstown area.

Kenton, Ohio. There's only 2 things that come frome Kenton..... Whores and football players. BTW, my wife is from Kenton.....Want me to tell you what team she played on? LOL! A sleepy little town. Football is it. Really. I am a transplant from being a Nashville guitar picker to Kenton. My wife is an Attorney at Law following her Father and bothers foot steps here in Kenton. Things could be worse..... I still play full time with national acts and my band regionally. I am out of town alot this time of year. '> 3 little kids and I like them ALOT!
