Wow!
I admit that I know nothing about gas pump/globe collecting, but that has got to be worth a lot. People pay CRAZY prices for original globes and that one has more character than most!

Tape those letters off with 3M pin striping tape and paint them yourself... You could do it!
Great looking Globe... cracks no biggy... that'll be covered!
Have you found a place to get parts, decals, paint codes, etc.?
What make and model is that pump?.... Have you placed it up on oldgas.com?
Bet they'll go crazy....

Kito - Thanks for the kind words. I think that they are probably more common here than in the US. Perhaps something at last that I could export, who knows.
Eric - The pump its self is a Avery Hardol again a farily common pump in the UK. I have searched all the internet engines for companies this end without success. I have now started going through ebay and finding possible enthusiasts to e-mail direct for parts, still no luck. Apart from the noozle and a new hose I think its pretty much complete. I would like to have sight of a picture or two of restored ones just to be sure.
I e-mailed Shell to day to see if they have any pictures or can give colour codes for the original livery. Don't suppose I'll get a reply, but you never know.
Well the snow has stopped. I'm day off in a couple of days and was hoping to get the thing stripped but they reckon minus 5 possibly for the ext week. Don't fancy that.

Dave you gotta stop by oldgas.com... I see guys answering color codes and parts questions all the time... might even be a member there that's from your “side of the pond” (that's your line but I like it and have been wanting to use that!  '>
You got a killer pump there! Can't wait for you to post a complete image of it with the globe... It it very tall? My Bennett pumps are as tall as a Vendo 39 without a globe.

Have posted already on oldgas. Got a very warm welcome and the moderator has even posted pictures. One member has supplied at telephone number of a contact in the UK but so far every time I have called there has been no reply.
You are right. I have been looking at it oldgas for a while and there are some good guys there.
The only thing it lacks is the intimacy of this place. Perhaps I need to be around a while before I feel at home. Soda-machines just feels like a warm blanket and is always the first website I check every time I log on.
The pump is about the size of the vendo 39 minus globe. On thursday, weather permitting I tihkn I'll strip it down. I'm concerned about just dumping the insides. Sure I'm not going to ever use them and I'll proably keep the pump ( I find it difficlut to let anything go) but in case I did sell it in the future would the insides make it less valuable??

I was thinking the same thing as I junked the inside.... All mine are gutted I did keep
the hose retractor/weight think but got rid of about 150+ pounds of stuff!
But everyone seems to gut them.... But I think if I ever get a Bennett 60 I'd
might keep the insides ... might...
Yeah... you can tell that site isn't as friendly as this. I've read some pretty heated topics
there... This place is great.... I check everyday.... I've made friends I've never met in
places I'll never see. It's awesome!

Dave, Went surfing through Oldgas.com , and onc you dig through the "Paint codes? Buy my book " and "Don't ask stupid questions newbie" postings, I managed to located this info. what it looks like in real life I don't know, nor do I know if they were "legitimate" colors across the pond:

On another note, I am of the opinion DON'T touch up the globe. I fear the resale value (if you wanted to sell it, and buy a repro and take the family on Holiday with the proceeds) would go down. Put the faded side facing the wall, it will look killer in your game room.
