Does anyone know how I can set up my Bastian Blessing Bobtail.  I need to build a separate condensor deck outside the unit and attach the lines.  I also need to build a carbonator .  I don't know hwere to start.  Any help or picture would be helpful.

Sounds like you want to remote the condensing unit, and that sounds like something for Eric. I'm curious though, what is a GE double chiller?

BC - Do you have any pictures available to post of your Bobtail?

Eric at Global Compressors would definitely be the best person to contact.

The first picture is my BB Bobtail.  The next picture is what I think it should look like when I'm done. Pretty cool huh? A outfit in Chicago does this professionally.  I will call Eric from Global to see what I need to do.  My basement maltshop is almost complete and I need to start serving some cherry Cokes and ice cream floates.

Brian,

I'll assume we're all invited for drinks and ice cream when it's completed...  ':drinkers:'

Wow nice compact unit, lots of stainless steel.
No one asked my opinion, but if they did...........I would reverse the colors.  I think white with red letters would look nice with the theme of ice cream.  With Coke machines we have to paint the original all red, but this is different.  I like it.

Moondawg:

I could go either way.  I love the all white with the red lettering.  First, I need to fire it up.  Here is a picture of a Bastian Bobtaill restored with a new condensor deck. Mine should look similiar when complete. I will start the restoration process soon.

This is new to me so excuse my asking. What is inside that won't allow for the installation of a compressor deck? In fact I don't see any compartment doors at all?

Moondawg:

The inside of the Bastian Blessing is a refridgeration compartment.  It was used to store milk, syrups etc.  The condensore deck is installed outside on this particular unit.  I will hide it with a ventilated cabinate.  I am working on fabricating the outside to the coke theme.  I had to take off the door frame while getting it into my basement maltshop.  My wife still thinks I have lost me mind.  I will keep you posted on the progress.
