Hi Everyone.  I have a Hires Root Beer Dispenser that I am working on.  Can anyone provide some information on it, such as manufacturer, model number, etc?

Also, it looks to have mechanical refrigeration.  Is this correct?  Would this be attached to a soda fountain?  Where would the compressor be located?  How hard would it be to put it back in working order?  Thanks, Ross.

Syrup Tank

Bottom of syrup tank--any replacements available?

Thanks again, Ross.

Hi Ross,
Here is what I know and it’s not much. The only thing I have on this dispenser is a sales brochure, haven’t found the right one for my collection yet. The dispenser came in an Ice Cooled or Mechanically Refrigerated models. Looking at your pictures it looks like yours is the refrigerated model. It appears you are only missing the cup/drip tray, backsplash and the nozzle for the faucet. As for maker and model I have only seen these as Hires and most likely they where made by Hires with no model designation. The base on ours is a flat table base so it would have been place on a counter top.  The rest of the operating parts (carbonator, motor for refrigeration unit, etc.) would be under the counter. Replacement parts would have to be fabricated.

Steve, Thanks.   Would it be possible to get a scan of your Sales Brochure?  Is there a replacement nozzle available that would work for this dispenser?  I have been cleaning the case, and it is looking good.  Will post a few photos after a little more cleaning.  Thanks, Ross.
