I've often wandered how to preserve those metal signs.  Would it hurt to use car wax on them or is there some other method?

Hi,Lulu
I would only use car wax when I get signs .The varish Or clear Hurts the vaule of the sign.Treat all thing like we do are Machine Careful  '<img'> .

Also the dispenser barrel will probley be parted out .Has all the inside stuff .The taps are mostly there & The lid is missing .This one came from a McDonalds in Ky .The guy removed it in the early 70s .Never had feet on it .Weird ':p'

Very cool collection Leonard! I am jealous!
I especially want the light up sign/lid rest on your Cornelius compact 50 slider. That's the only thing I'm missing on mine.
