My latest project is a United Cypress ball bowler.  I am currently reworking the gear boxes.  Almost done with the whole back door section.  Tons of relays and steppers.  Then on to the reels and strike/spare steppers.  The Cypress is a mess.  The pin section alone had 70% broken parts (7 pin hangers and 6 pins).  It's missing wood, switches, locking bar, cracked glass, etc.  PLUS!! someone painted the oak brown and did a horrible job on the side art work.  I actually have buyers remorse on this one.  Why would I buy such a piece of crap, when I already have a nice United Falcon you might ask??  Because the Cypress is the only United game that has every game I like all rolled up into one.  All seven of them.  I even bit the bullet and paid over six bills to have it shipped from California.  Ouch, that hurt.  Then I found that paint stripper does not contain Dichloromethane anymore.  What is that?  The stuff that works.  The pin section was painted black and I decided to strip it.  Did not do the job.  I tried two different brands and they both sucked.  After a half gallon, I was able to strip both sides.  I bought a gallon of dichloromethane from Amazon.  Very toxic stuff.  I'll have to be careful with that.

The sauce is boss.

Me and my son went in the garage to cook diner during a rain storm and have a few beers.  That’s when I looked over and said “What a piece of crap”, time for a picture, lol.

Jim it is going to be some ordeal. Taking everything apart. I hope my stripping concoction works. I also have to make the top wood of the bottom glass. I have a cheap table saw. Hopefully, I have some carpenter skills buried deep within me.

Yes it does, but it is nice when all the pieces fit together......at least with the help of a hammer  biggrin.  Here are some pictures of the completed machine.
