Hello Chaps

I have recently become the proud owner of a National A38 Pump with the Flying A livery. Will attach a picture when I get home.

The pump was restored prior to my possession and where I have been moving it around the front  solid panels (Not the glass)  have become a little loose and I can't figure out how I gain access to see if I can put them back in place. They look like they sit on a lip.

I've taken the globe off and looked down the neck and can see the computer plate stops access to the panels.

Was hoping that one of you knowledgeable Pump guys could give me a few clues. Can post in Old Gas but thought I'd try here first.

Thanks

Dave

awesome dave! i have one and these pumps and its probly my favorite piece.  if you reach into the little side door and feel around you will find a lever that moves horizontally.  That activates the teeth that hold the two swinging doors in place.  if you move the lever it will tighten or loosen the grip on the door.

I have an issue with my door staying shut right now, i think i need to bend the teeth a little to get a better grip...

hope this helps, i'm not an expert, good luck

That's excellent. Thank you. Would never have figured that out. Didn't realise it was hinged. Might put some shelving inside now.

A picture of mine. She's a tall old girl had to swap a few bits to get her but I'm happy..
