took a while but just finished my pepsi 81.  this was my first attempt at restoring a machine (have done some coolers).   It was a fun experience and I learned a lot.  Thanks to everybody on this board, I used the search to find some old threads to help when I got stuck and it was great.  Also couldn't have done it without Funtronics having exactly the right parts and my buddy Neil for walking me through the process, thanks guys.

Its not perfect but I'm very happy with it.  Gonna be fun trying to find the others...here are some pics, before and afters

Looks great! The Pepsi 81 has to be in the top 5 of best soda machines ever made. Great machine.
