I agree no real value in my area maybe $10 as it would look good on a covered porch if the thermometer is in tacked or on the side of your garage 
In some areas it's might be worth more (north East coast )

These red thermometers were made in the 80s I believe they aren't 40s 50s old... just older fantasy thermometers. This one looks rough
I would save my money and wait for a older, nicer one... Check ebay... these can bring good money but only because most don't know the actual age.
