Restored CI-55 Value?
«

I have the chance at possible picking this up amongst others.. I normally don't buy restored machines or square tops but this one is kinda neat?
any idea on values, unrestored, restored... I have not see it in person yet, but for questimate purposes lets assume a Grade A Restoration and complete and working value..
Thanks guys!

If it is completely restored it has to worth at least $1600 in my opinion. We all know what a good restoration cost. Flat top, round top who cares that's a nice vintage machine.

I've never owed one of these machines so I don't know much about it. My question is did they make it in a light up also?

I saw an unrestored 5/10 condition one sell at Carlisle two years ago for $850, if memory serves right it was fully functional. I'd say $1500-1800 totally restored to the right person wouldn't be out of the question.

They made both the single vend & double vend with the light up kit package upgrade
Now my 2 cents I've seen the C-55s all over the place .single vend from 200- 850 Not Restored !!!! But depending on condition and package
I"ve seen the double vends from 400- 1000 again Not Restored But depending on condition and package
The vend motors MUST work or your going to have a tuff time getting one .
By package I mean that some had no Crome strips on edge lines . Lower
Polished aluminum .and then the light up or metal signage .
The BIG issue is finding a Double vend I had 2 at one time . Pat now has one .And I know we're there's one and the guy won't budge on selling it even for a Grand
I saw a pair of restored C-55 a single & Double restored sold as a pair probely 10 years ago on E-Bay $6000

Tim, if you can find and buy, not only one, but two Stoner 120's w/ Gum/Mint Wheel; you can find a C2-55 ! ! !

I have a C-55-2D My has the chrome molding on the sides and a light up sign. John as for the motors I have couple extras. You can use the vend motor from a cavalier C-124 that's how I got my extras. I all so made the shims and spacers. Let me know if you need my help.
