We arrived in St Charles late last night. Came a few days early because we have some friends to visit while we are here.

Drove though a nasty snow storm... but it is all cleared up now.

The roads are good except... darnnnnnn they are STILL doing construction on E Main. St!!!!!

My master plan is set in motion. I purchased the wife a new vehicle only mere hours before I leave for the Chicago show. Now if that isn't my most brilliant plan ever!  biggrin

You may be right Glen. She could keep driving straight to Florida. I should give her a call and let her know there are a couple of machines I would like her to pick up while she's there.  biggrin

I remember my first trip. Flew to Chicago then drove to St. Charles to look for a room on the first night. Dumb  darn all motels were full but every parking lot had trucks and trailers, many U-haul box trucks, pickup trucks and trailers packed full with machines, gas pumps, signs, some covered with tarps, others not.
Finally found a room 20 miles outside of town but couldn't sleep.........wondering what was under all those tarps  hopefull
