Wow only three more days until the Chicago show. Janet did get the room rented at Portellos so we hope to see everyone there Thurs night around 6:00 pm. Always a lot of fun seeing everyone and sharing stories and making new friends and contacts.

I'll be there with mixed emotions. Leonard (LTRANSAM) was supposed to go, but he's been in the hospital the past few days with a severs sinus infection and extreme headaches. Let's all pray for a speedy recovery for Leonard!  |

Hey Leonard, Remeber those hooks in a car that people use to hang suits from when they got back from the cleaners, IV's hang from them just fine. You could also use your rear view mirror for an IV. See you at the show.   Larry. |

We arrived in St Charles late last night. Came a few days early because we have some friends to visit while we are here.
Drove though a nasty snow storm... but it is all cleared up now.
The roads are good except... darnnnnnn they are STILL doing construction on E Main. St!!!!!

I remember my first trip. Flew to Chicago then drove to St. Charles to look for a room on the first night. Dumb  all motels were full but every parking lot had trucks and trailers, many U-haul box trucks, pickup trucks and trailers packed full with machines, gas pumps, signs, some covered with tarps, others not. Finally found a room 20 miles outside of town but couldn't sleep.........wondering what was under all those tarps |

Well I got back home and I have to say that it was one of the best Portillo's get togethers that I have ever been to. I met a lot of new people, well actual I was able to put some new faces to some old names, and a lot of old acquaintances. Good times were had by all. Thanks to Rod and Janet for their calendars. Very cool. I hope you all walk away with some treasures tomorrow. |

I had that thought too,, was going to take just candids of small groups and let people comment on names and such, but my battery died and then got distracted talking to people and having fun... it was a great gathering.. I wish I could have spent more time with everyone.. oh well, next time? |
