That's a great machine!  I love the transitionals with the crank handle, shouldn't be too hard to add a glass door to it, that would set it off right.

Would the glass doors from other ST 56s fit it? Or will this be something you have to fabricate from the door on it now...

Nice find, yes the glass doors off a round top is a direct bolt on. I've had 4-5 of these machines in the past but none worthy of keeping all were rough.
