56 square top?  Or the ultra rare 56 roundtop? (as per J. Walters book)

Any pics of the machine?

I love the old graphics. I bet you will be able to easily clean up the bottom graphic area and it will look awesome. If you get as excited as I do with a new machine your probably cleaning it right now.  biggrin Great original find.

Great looking machine. They don't have to be round tops to look great.

Nice pickup Victor!
I wish they made these machines with glass bottle doors and selection light. It would really make the machine for me as that solid silver bottle door just makes it look clunky.

Thanks guys. It was a fun day. I had planned to cruz down on my own but the wife and kid felt sorry for me and decided to come. It was a fun road trip. About. 120 miles each way. My initial plan was to leave at 6 am and be back in san jose by 12:30. But with the family, the pee pee stops, coffee shop, and meals I took a few more hours and a lot more money then planned. All in all cool because it forced me out of my type A mind set and forced me to smell the roses.

I just love this machine! The inside is very clean, complete and its a 7up(the gastro intestinle fix all beverage of the latin community). I have been looking for one of these for the last 5 years, this is a keeper for me. Tom I agree, the all metal door needs to go so I will be converting it to a glass door.

The lady I purchased this from was as sweet as honey! She held it for me for a week! It was on craigslist for a fair price and all week I thought she was probably just going to sell it. Thanks Glenda!!!!!

You're not going to part it out Victor?   biggrin

Remember the guy from the UK who said they couldn't find roundtops over there so he made one?

That 7up machine looks sweet! Man it looks like the Titanic of Round Tops!

I hear you  (Parting Out).

I know for sometime it was the trend to part these transitional machines out. I have done a few.

If it was the type of transitional machine with the flat coin door (mostly see Pepsi 56 in this style) I probably would.

In my little eyes this devil is equal to the round top 56 and worth minimum 1,500.00. Now I know most will not pay this amount for one (And I did not) but this little one will not leave my hands for anything less. I know some of you may be wondering what I am smoking but I know a fella that will pay me my asking price.

There cannot be to many of these around, since I see a lot more RT 56 for sale in my area than these 7up 56 (5 years to locate this one).

This little Devil Deserves to LIVE!!!

nice machine.... would LOVE to see a pic after you put in a glass door!!!!
I lost out on a couple of these machines with CL and Ebay, just didn't pull the trigger on their asking prices (all under 1k) and now that I have the Barqs machine I wish I had it's little brother lol.
I'll just have to settle on a 7up 81 one day  smile

I found a square top 7up a few months ago and took the coin mech off and discovered about $75 worth of silver dimes stuck behind it. Might want to check it out.

That's a great machine!  I love the transitionals with the crank handle, shouldn't be too hard to add a glass door to it, that would set it off right.

Would the glass doors from other ST 56s fit it? Or will this be something you have to fabricate from the door on it now...

Nice find, yes the glass doors off a round top is a direct bolt on. I've had 4-5 of these machines in the past but none worthy of keeping all were rough.
