Does anyone know anything about Delf Vending machings?  I believe this is theDelf 12-96 Model 12 Serial number 96.255 and says it's made in St. Louis.  I've searched the web coming up with nothing.  Is there any value to this machine?  The insides (coin mech and all vending mechanisms) are removed and I suppose it could be used as a fridge as the cooling unit works good.   Sorry, I didn't get a pic of the inside but could if needed.  I have never seen on before this one so just thought I would post it.

There is a guy on here named Leonard (Ltransam) who had one restored recently and I'm sure he will chime in. If by chance he does not, PM him. He's a great guy and always willing to help out.

Very "cool" machine ! ! !
(no Pun Intended...)

I'm surprised your search didn't turn up the following page:
Delf 12-96 Vendor

Not a lot of info, but we have it listed...
A shame the machine is incomplete, but looks to be indecent condition.
Without those major components, I wouldn't place a high value on it...

My six cents,

I would agree on value, not that high. The machine just doesn't have enough going for it even if it was complete, missing guts really hurts. You just can't do much with it. I'm assuming it is non embossed?

Beautiful original lettering and decal.........Hopefully you can find replacements, always a shame to see anything "double dot" disappear.

That's right, who says it has to work to be admired for what it is. This would clean up real well.

That would be my guess - probably a marketing thing to point out the bigger bottle (vs. Coke 6.5 oz)

Yes, the soda-machine.com is the only page it turned up.  My guess was that the "8" meant 8oz bottles.  I had never seen anything like it and when I came across it at a very reasonable price I figured I couldn't pass it up.  The person I got it from said it belonged to their grandparents who used it at their store back in the day.  It had been sitting in a garage for years.  I asked what happened to the insides and they said they were removed years ago so that the machine could be used as a fridge (sad to hear that they were removed and trashed only to make a fridge out it.) Anyway, it's a neat conversation piece to take up more room in my garage.. Thanks for the input..

Hello Pilip

I'm to owner of thE Delf 122 pictures oin the soda machine area  I like yours also . These machines don't have a large following . But if you like it that all that counts . I was lucky enought to grab mine and in all the time iv owned it and with all the knowledge on this site  no one has seen another like mine .I think it would be cool to own your model also . Even if it is incomplete
