Well, a buddy picked this up for me today. He stumbled on it while picking up some coolers for me. Still have to get it, but thought it looked pretty good in the pics.
It came with a lead for "an old coke machine with a drum"... Gonna have to at least look into that one!
And for those who are wondering, it was in the buy price range, not the sell price range!

That machine looks to be in great shape. Original paint? That must have been repainted.

It was repainted long ago, and if you notice the handle is pointed down, so it is missing the coin mech, but I would rather look for that then the VMC Bezel!!

Nice machine Tim! Looks like you beat me to the punch on getting a Pepsi 110. Are you not glad the guy from a few months ago did not accept your offer for that Pepsi 110 we were both looking at? lol. Nice find.... you deserve a great deal like that for all the time you put into searching and getting some of us here great deals from your finds.

A lot of people refer to the slug rejector as 'the coin mech', 'coin ejector' or 'coin rejector', of which the last two make no sense to me. You want coins to be accepted not rejected or ejected. The coin mechanism is what makes the machine vend either mechanically or electrically. The coin is the catalyst that makes it work. The slug rejector has three duties: (1) test and accept valid coins (2) reject slugs, washers and invalid coins (3) deliver accepted coins to the proper slot on the coin mech and return rejected slugs etc. back to the customer

Well, of course the keys didnt come with it for the coin door. I have to have it shipped to me, do it may be a while until the mystery is solved.
The owner said it for sure wasn't there so it will be a huge bonus if its the rejector! Of course, the mech will be screwed up if its doing that!!

Of course, the mech will be screwed up if its doing that!! Not necessarily! The handle does rotate 360 degrees. It would also rest in that position if the pin has been removed.

Nice haul Tim! Did you pay retail or are you just another one of us low-ballers! Tim I think by Michigan standards I might have paid way over retail!!! I'll admit I paid way less then it is worth and he threw in a couple of thermometers... I told my buddy to offer $1000 to test the waters and see where he is at (Hey, I had one texted picture of just the top half of the machine, was told it was missing the coin mech, and I have to ship it from KC to Maine so I have to start somewhere!!) Then I heard him say "so, will you take $600?" he went back and forth with him a couple of times ignoring what I was saying and he was acting like he was talking to me and worked out a price I could definitely live with. I know I'm a mouthpiece trying to get people here to admit these things might be worth more then $200 if they are flipping them for $2500, but when someone asks what its WORTH (in estimated values), what I WILL pay, what I WANT to pay, and what I would sell it for, those are completely different questions!!! The part I think people here won't admit is what they are WORTH!!

As they say, "You can't be both the buyer and the seller".
When a seller asks "what's it worth?", I like to answer the question with another question and say "what do you need for it?"
You did well Tim...you got a great machine at a bargain price, without leaving the couch, and made your buddy bust a nut picking it up.

MaineT, That's a good buy. Especially with the way everyone prices machines up here in the northeast. Everybody thinks if it says Coca Cola or Pepsi its worth a fortune even if its a rusted piece of ****.
