V.M.C. 27 question !

I know that all the coca cola VMC 27' were aluminum, and the majority of the Pepsi's were steel, however some of the Pepsi models were also made from aluminum, my question is, does anyone know which of the Pepsi's where produced first ? I have a original Pepsi made from aluminum with a nickel coin mech so I'm assuming the aluminum ones where produced first, can anyone confirm this ?
