I have an original Westinghouse Model # L-25-CF that came out of a Vendo Junior. Is this worth putting the money into it or should I consider a new unit?
The ID tag reads as follows;
Model L-25-CF
Style 1139665
Volts 110 Amps 4 Cycle 60
Test Pressure 200
Refrigerant F12
LBS of Refrigerant 60

Thanks happydrinkers

Wow, 60 lbs of refrigerant, that's one kick-a$$ Junior!   laugh I believe it should be about 6-ounces of R12

Hah! also a good one!  blush   PS...60lbs of R12 would be about $1800.00 worth of coolant.

F-12 is the same as R-12 the F stands for Freon.

Well this happens to be an extremely rare unit produced by Westinghouse. It is very rarely seen model that was a prototype for future models. This may be something that only a few have ever had the chance to see. A true piece of history!

OK, let's try this again.

Does anyone have an early Copeland or Tecumseh catalog that would have a cross reference for a compatible unit in place of the Westinghouse model L-25-CF?

I went to both Tecumseh and Copeland and came up empty. I even ran it past the supply house and they had nothing on Westinghouse. I'll dig a little more and see if I can find anything.
