Interesting auction so far. Several cars going for less than restoration costs.
Strong money on the soda stuff.
PITA, must wade through all kinds of misc.

To get the selling price need to click on the auction number.

Batmobile #1 hammered at 4.2 mill sold. Glad Mr Barris lived to see the day.
Very cool.

I bet anything Carrol Shelby related will go for big bucks this year.

I would have thought so as well. Several Shelby's sold at below market. Too many on the block, 5 GT-500 KR's average 130K. KR's used to get 210k.
Lost track of the lesser units, there were a bunch. Strange dynamic's this year. Customized 1956 f-100/150 trucks went huge for the restoration effort. Some classics lost big time.

Can't speak to the GM numbers but the nice cars seemed to do well.
Darn near fell out of my chair on the $330,000 Olds 442. Nice restoration but that is a bunch for a 442.

Funny how it was dead silent when the big whoop ta do on Jeff Gordons racer stalled at $350,000 and never moved.

I was watching when they were auctioning Gordan's car. They kept hyping how there were two cars, how the engine alone was $100k, how the winner could sit in during the driver's meeting... It really went nowhere after selling last time for 500k.

Is it on today? Since the new year I've been double punched with a blood clot and then kidney stones, neither of which have been much fun. Looking for something to watch.

Edit: I found it. It comes on at 2pm.

It's been real odd: a restored 59 ford retractible went for 24K, and a custom 70 mustang went for 330k. I agree about the Shelbys selling low. I though the Camaros were on the light side also.

$100,000 went up $100,000 increments for awhile then shifted to $250,000.
Funny, what is not making the news is the two bidders said f this at 4 mil and did a coin toss of who would get it.
BJ lost any further commission on the selling price. Poor babies...
