I would have gone $850 if the globe was lighted :-).
Interesting combination. Not sure I would have gone with a contains lead sign on a gumball machine.
Bet a bunch more turn up quick. Gotta be at least 85% profit margin on that.

I actually think it looks kind of cool (not 800 dollars cool) but I don't think I would have put the gas hose and nozzle on there and maybe would have used one of the repoduction contains lead decals if I really wanted to put that on there but I do think it looks kind of neat. The gas globe on top looks kind of neat.

A lot of money for a fantasy piece.  I could see maybe $250-$350

I think it is very eye-catching and a brilliant idea. But the wiring around the hose looks funky and I think I would sacrafice one of the glass panels in order to mount the nozzle properly.

I don't know if minature gas pumps are made, but if he didn't cut one up to make this, it would have been a very time consuming process to prototype just that nozzel.
Adding up other costs.......... painting, plating, pinstriping, glass, lock etc. he still probably sold this one for more than he expected.
His completed auctions show he has been selling his bubblegum machines and mixers with Coke colors and decals on them for about $250. I know I couldn't make enough money on these things to justify the time spent.

I too think the 850 price is rediculous, but to each their own... it is very creative and I too wonder about he mini Gas pump Nozzle... it must be off of something else and then had it chromed... as I doubt he had it made? if so.. costly I'd guess?

Interesting and sure we'll see more of those based on his auction success...

The sticker that says "This Sale $.10" ruins it for me. Remember when you had a key on the ol'
typewriter that was a lower case "c" with a slash thru it that stood for "cents"?
Actually all these fantasy gumball machines disgust me. We all know that none of these companies
on the machines ever made or authorized a gumball machine of this vintage. And are they represented
as a fantasy machine? Or  does calling it a "(insert brand here) theme" make it alright?
