   This is a very sad day.... he did so much in the auto industry...second to none.... The list of things he did goes on and on...  I have a 1968 shelby mustang GT 350.... he turned that car into a mean machine with style..... Will be missed  down

A true automotive legend!  The way the industry is driven by fuel economy and aerodynamics, it is very likely that we will never again see the kind of creativity and vision that Carroll Shelby had.

It will be interesting to see what the Shelby inspired cars sell for at this year's Barrett-Jackson.

A very sad day indeed. Carroll contributed so much to the automotive industry, specifically to the specialized high-performance partnerships. My first car was a 67 Mustang Fastback in Highland Green. I had always dreamed of owning a Shelby Mustang.
   Thankyou Carroll Shelby.
