I am looking for a slug rejector that works with dimes. It would be going on a non change giver type of mechanism. I might also be interested in a complete mechanism. Thanks for looking.

I have large door rejectors. Is it a Large Door/Small Door mech or just a non-change-giver? If unsure, post a pic of your mech and I can tell you what you have.

Brian, You have been in touch with me about this and, as I said before, the rejector you need is unique to that model mechanism. I see it in the 44 and 39 almost exclusively. It is actually a Canadian coin rejector that goes in it, but US coins will work in it too.
The way the knockout arm is designed prevents you from using a traditional USA nickel/dime rejector. When the machine is empty, the coin rolls off the KO arm and over the shaft assembly into the coin return side of the mech. The correct rejector (see below) has an opening that allows for the coin to roll off where as the USA rejector has a defined coin exit without any variance. Kind of hard to explain and my pics don't really show it well.
Now if you don't care about it being "correct" and don't care whether or not the mechanism accepts coins when it is sold out, then remove the KO arm and find a US nickel/dime rejector.
Sorry, I currently don't have any available for sale. They do though pop up on eBay occasionally, but expect to pay $50-$75 for one.

Thanks for taking the time to explain this to me. I think I have a better understanding of the differences now. I will continue to keep my eyes open for a Canadian rejector.

That is exactly what he needs and it is almost complete, but should still work with both dimes and nickels. Looks like it is only missing the dime push bar and bracket.
