I'm pretty sure there's a few people on here who have redone these and they look great (Pat, Dan, Josh...)

I guess it was just the style of the day, but how could Coke go from the great look of the red/white machines to that awful looking woodgrain.  Even the humble Cornelius looks great redone in the various paint schemes.  I thought Pat's Dr. Pepper was especially unique and eye catching.  It makes you want to come up and get a soda.  The woodgrain model looks like something you would buy live bait out of.
