New to SMC, I would appreciate an estimated value and any info on this silk screen coke mirror. Bought it from my aunt in 70's and stored it. recently rediscovered it, she said it is 100% authentic and she thought the lady in the picture was Hilda Carter, a celebrity of the day. My aunt was an antique dealer in the 50's and 60's and has since passed on.   I am a coke collector sort of and need a value for insurance purposes.  Thanks in advance for any help. I really appreciate it.

I don't know much about this but it looks like a fantasy piece to me.

You said you acquired it in the mid 70's .well that is when it was produced... it's not a true "vintage" sign, unless you consider 70's vintage..

Many signs like this where made in the 70's.. lots of mirrors with old advertising as that is when Coca-Cola collecting started to really go into full swing and lots of "Fantasy" peices emerged...

as far as value, it's worth what it's worth to you.. on open market (ebay, auction, show),, you "Might" sell it for around 50-75.00  but it holds no Collectable value like older original signs from the 40's -50's...

sorry

Yep, it may have been produced in the 70's but there are a number of these fantacy mirrors still floating around but they were NOT produced for the Coca Cola company.
I have one someone gave me, and I'd sell it for $50. Sorry  down

Moon Dawg,
I have that exact same sign hanging in front of me, If I remember correctly it came from the promotional giveaway room at the Coke plant I worked at for 22 years.

This would have been the late 70's early 80's.

Unless It's This Mirror (I have 3 ) That was Produced In Celebration Of the 100 Year anniversary  Of Coke This was released under A Unique and Limited Edition Issued By The Archives. The Coca-Cola Company 1977   I beleive These Were Limited to 1000 As Well as (I have 1)  the Ceramic Dispencer From the 1896 which was also issued at the same time as the Mirror
