The bottle door light on my Vendo 110 is having issues.  I'll press it and hold it down and it will turn on fine.  But, it only stays on for a few seconds to maybe 10-15 seconds as most and then just turns off and never comes back on (unless I hit the switch again).  Any ideas as to what potential problems I should be looking into before I take things apart? |

Have you tried a new lamp?  if yours is getting old & the tube ends are blackened, it may be time for a fresh one. |

Where is the ballast located?  I just don't want to take more apart than I need to since I have no idea where it is. Have you tried a new lamp?  if yours is getting old & the tube ends are blackened, it may be time for a fresh one.
The bulb looks pretty old so I'll go ahead and replace it too. |

Try the bulb first...the ballast is 50 screws away behind the main door liner! |

It may just be the little starter, assuming it is a flourescent bulb since you're talking about a ballast.  You can pick those up for really cheap at Wally World. |

Yep, no starter on the V-110, the push-to-start switch is the manual lamp start.

I started with the bulb and it seems to be good. Thanks for the help everyone. |
