The bottle door light on my Vendo 110 is having issues. I'll press it and hold it down and it will turn on fine. But, it only stays on for a few seconds to maybe 10-15 seconds as most and then just turns off and never comes back on (unless I hit the switch again). Any ideas as to what potential problems I should be looking into before I take things apart?

Have you tried a new lamp? if yours is getting old & the tube ends are blackened, it may be time for a fresh one.

Where is the ballast located? I just don't want to take more apart than I need to since I have no idea where it is. Have you tried a new lamp? if yours is getting old & the tube ends are blackened, it may be time for a fresh one.
The bulb looks pretty old so I'll go ahead and replace it too.

Try the bulb first...the ballast is 50 screws away behind the main door liner!

It may just be the little starter, assuming it is a flourescent bulb since you're talking about a ballast. You can pick those up for really cheap at Wally World.

Yep, no starter on the V-110, the push-to-start switch is the manual lamp start.

I started with the bulb and it seems to be good. Thanks for the help everyone.

The ballast as mentioned is behind the door liner. If you have to go that route once you pull the main door liner off you will see a brown block with wires, etc. If you need a new one SJW or Funtronics should have one. It will be covered or around the insulation.
Mine is also bad on my 110. I pulled my main door cover off to change out my coin.mech. I fixed my coin mech but lost motivation on the light for the time being.

I pulled my main door cover off to change out my coin.mech. Why? You can remove the mech easily without removing the liner.

Not sure I know an easier way? The mech rod went behind the liner and attatched to the linkage arm with a pin inserted.
Obviously missed something.....
