I am just curious if anyone out there has ever seen a Westinghouse Master with a water spicket coming out of the top with a small sink/drain mounted in the center between the two doors???  Are they rare??  Thanks.

Don't the Master doors meet in the middle usually though?  This thing still has all the coils inside the machine too and the doors look original.  Not saying that it hasn't been "McGyver'd" as you put it, but it sure looks original, just with lots of rust.  Here's another look at the top.

Hhhmmm... Maybe it was an option?... kinda like the roller kit you could put on a dry box style to
roll around ball stadiums/parks... Looks like 2 standard lids and the option in the middle for a
fountain pretty cool.

Ken,

I have the manual for this particular cooler and nowhere did I see any type of faucet type configuration.  Im pretty sure the lids are supposed to meet together.

The water fountains were options - I have a VMC33-3D manual listing a fountain as an accessory (or kit). Not 100% certain with these earlier floor coolers, but I bet they were offered as well.
I have never owned a Standard or Master, but I have owned a Vendo Junior with a fountain (see pic). The bracket was a custom fit to the body and definately not rigged!

collecture,
What do you think of the pics of the Master I posted?  You think that was an original option?  Do you suppose it may be a rare find???  It obviously needs some serious restoration.  From what I can tell, it does not appear to have been some Mickey Mouse rig or anything, but I could be wrong.  Thoughts??

I could be wrong but my vote is it was made that way from Coca-Cola. Those are standard size lids and
it all looks aged evenly. If it was home made the lids would be cut down and the center piece wouldn't
match... I doubt someone would buy new lids and fabricate the center piece... a lot of trouble... I don't
have my Cooler book handy but they (Coke) customized cooler with a shopping cart type handle on the
end and put them on roller/caster to push around parks. I've never seen one of those other than a
book... So who to say this isn't something that sat in a store or gas station to both serve as a
cooler and drinking fountain.... cool piece.

Anyone have any ideas as to it's value to rarity in this case as compared to a standard "Master" cooler?
