Due to popular demand....just kidding, but the subject came up, so here's a thread to post what your "holy grail" collector's item would be, whether relating to Coke or not.  One of the reasons I am personally asking about is because I have many items that may fit into your wish list that will be up for auction in October.  (Look for separate posting regarding that info.)  I believe we have many vintage trays for Coke, Dr. Pepper, and Pepsi, few coin op machines, pedal cars, real cars, bottles, signs, etc.  I'll post pics on separate thread as mentioned, but if there's something I see on this list that I know we might have, I can let you know what I have as there are too many pics to post.  Besides that, I thought it would be an interesting thread to see what is on everyone's list.  Pics, pics, pics though!!! Please post photos!  I'm sure we'll all look forward to seeing what everyone's "holy grail" item is.

Haha, wouldn't we all like the cash for all?  Well, I do not have a Chevy sedan delivery, but, believe it or not, I do have a 1964 Ford Falcon Sedan Delivery.  Very few of them were ever made, but we have one up for auction.  I've attached a couple pics on here along with my response for your perusal.

Say, here's a Coke 81 that looks pretty nice.  Right down the road from me actually.  Seems a bit pricey, but he might negotiate with you.

Yeah cash would be the number one for me...
There are so many cool items out there... When I bought the Nichol Kola
cooler and restored it I started buying NK stuff to go with it... Now Chedki
here is an advanced NK collector and I will never catch up... But there is one
item on the top of my list and it's the 1941 NK calendar... I know of one
but it's not for sale... So while in your travels you see one call me... See 2
call me then Chedki...
Wouldn't mind finding a Dayton 166 candy scale or a Toledo candy scale.

I have not ever seen or come across and NK stuff.  Had actually never even heard of it until you guys started talking about it on here.  Perhaps it's just something from the northern states???  Either way, if I happen across something unusual, I will certainly let you guys know.

As for the scale, there is a scale that I will have up for the auction mentioned in the other thread.  Perhaps you can ID it as a candy scale of some type or something to do with the interests of the folks on this site.  Take a look at the pics.  I think it may be a seed scale...??  Name says "Seedburo".

Here's a Dayton 166 counter scale... They're on eBay all the time...
I'm looking for the scale sitting in a Mom & Pop Shop for $100.
That looks like a old timer... I'm not famliar with scales I just saw
this Dayton style and am now on the hunt for one.

And yes seems NK was mainly up North East though it was big in Washington
and I've seen several little 7oz bottles from Little Rock....

I will keep an eye out for the Dayton.  I see all sorts of stuff come thru our doors, so if I get one, I will certainly let you know.

As the for the Coke 81, yeah, I thought so too, but I'm not near as educated on these things as most of you guys are, so I try to share when I see something come up in my area, especially if it seems like a good piece.

Thanks.... We appreciate you looking out for us... You'll come across stuff and we'll be all over it...
you should put a link to your auction house below your signature kinda like Brent does with his bottle site
and some of the guys with their restoration sites... course I don't know how to do that but I'm sure
someone can show you.

Thanks for the recommendation.  I'll do that once I get something posted.  We don't have anything posted at the moment since we just completed an auction, but will get things posted soon and will try to add a link.

Good morning all.  Ok, since you guys are putting up cars, how about this one?  A 1970 Dodge Challenger with 440-Hemi and 6-pack?  The VIN matches VIN on engine and tranny, in other words, the original engine and tranny still in the car.  Here's a pic posted.  This one will be auctioned off next month alongside the Falcon Sedan Delivery.  Oh, and the Challenger has all paperwork and certification by formost MOPAR guy, sorry can't remember his name.

Ok, I admit, I'm not a Mopar guy and I couldn't tell a hemi from a Volkswagen, but I know they only made around 150 or so models with this set-up...so I am told anyway.  But yes, a very nice car to say the least!  I'll have all the paperwork and documentation next week.

Yes, I have a few, I always have an eye out for nice examples at a fair price though. I also collect Grapette Co spinoffs like Mr. Cola, Botl-o, Orangette, lemonette, Lymette, and Flavette. And B.T.Fooks. I've never seen a carrier for the last 5 I've listed. I also looks for cone-top and flat-top cans too.

Unfortunately, it's been in storage for a number of years...even before they had digital cameras, so I don't have any at the moment.  I had to put it in storage when I got stationed in Hawaii, then in Japan, so I just put it away until I was able to pull it out and start working on it.  Now that I've retired and have the time, now I just need the money!!!!  Soon though...I hope.

I have a buddy with a 71 Boss 351 Mustang, Same story as yours goes been tucked away in storage for many years, Sadly will probably never see day light again as long as he owns it.

Ouch!  Mine will definitely come out of storage, I just have to finish getting settled in and get my new career underway and pay settled so that I can begin making future plans once again.  In the meantime, I get to do little projects like Coke machines!!

Reference the Texaco sign, is the pic what you guys are looking for?  I think this may be a 48-incher and is an original.  If you know plywood that kind of plywood siding, you can get an idea of how wide by counting the spaces, which is roughly 10 spaces across.  I know it's a big sign.  I'll get a more precise measurement this weekend.  We're picking up this stuff on Thursday and Friday.  This one will up for auction next month...more details to follow once date is set.

kntreyn...  no I don't have the 48 incher either....  Got to start somewhere though.  I have been out bid at a couple auction on Texaco signs, but I will get one eventually.  One of my Coke machines came out of my great Grandpa's Texaco station, thus why I want a sign to go next to it.  Plus I like big pieces that take up lots of space...  Thanks for looking out and keep me updated.

Speaking of jukeboxes, does anyone (stupid question I'm sure) recall the old small chrome jukeboxes that used to sit on the tables at diners?  We just picked up everything for the auction yesterday and found out there are two that have been included in the consignment.  They are originals and look to be in remarkable condition.  Sorry, no pics yet since we just got them last night.  If anyone's interested in those, let me know and I'll post pics when I get them.

Yours sound like Seeburg 3w-100's. Very collectable for decor or to connect to a jukebox

Yes, that's exactly what we have, two of them actually.  Says Seeburg Wall-box 100 on front of it.  Both in really good shape.  Should have pics beginning to get posted this week.
