Brian, I think it's cool and really captures that futuristic look of the 50's. After you get it going, maybe you can make a You-Tube video of the operation. I appreciation the engineering behind it, especially when it show how they did things without electronics controls and just relied on the mechanics of the gears and cams to control the machines operation.

Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing a small part of a video, but didn't remember see the whole operation, must have missed allot of it. I since then lost the the link, so if some could post it again that would be cool.

Nice looking machine. I would have to agree with Cokemachines, the salt shaker isn't original. That is the only thing that I see, from the auction pictures, that isn't original.
It's a later model with the modified Main Cam to provide "kick-out" at the end of the popping cycle to eject all remaining popcorn, it also has the Heating Element Power Applied Light, the cage-style Salt Shaker Holder, the red lettering, 'Watch It Pop" on the Plastic Front Cover, the side hinged/side locked stand door, and no Low Oil Level Cutout Switch (Mercury Switch).
After looking closer I also noticed that your machine doesn't have a coin mechanism or a coin return cup, which is how it came from the factory. I also see that the aluminum "trash funnel" is more than likely a replacement due to the fact that it isn't bowl shaped and is more or less flat.
Be very careful with that glass globe! That break near the bottom that makes it super prone to breaking all of the way! Just a note, there are no replacements available for it!

Ray G, Looks like someone posted my video, and Larry posted his,, these are the only two popperette videos out there,,, Larry's is more descriptive but clearer, and mine is the full cycle but I gotta reshoot it as it is grainy.. new video camera coming this week so will shoot another and post.. They are cool machines that is for sure.

does jim have a boxing referees kit..?
maybe he needs to get himself one...
I was thinking of going to chicago later this year but
have changed my mind now as just don't fancy being
sat between you two guys at the restaurant before the
show.
