Found an old penny box in the barn the other day I totally forgot about. (pic below) Just purchased another Jacobs 26 and might mount it on this one (not the one in pic) after I'm done restoration.
How do these things marry with the other coin mechanism and vending mechanism?

Thanks. Mark

Not necessarily true - The 4405 model was used on the V-83 (not the electronic conversion) and the 4406 model was used on the Jacobs 26.

I'll try to scan some pages detailing how they were connected in the next few days.

They look great restored! If you need the slug rejector done, talk to Tom (Collecture), he did a bang-up job on mine for a really great price!

I just submitted a PDF file for the Penny Box pages I have. It should be available to in the Downloads section as soon as Jim authorizes it.

I wondered as I've seen Jacobs for sale with a metal looking base/bracket with the same looking coin box mounted before.
 Brian, that looks sharp.

Thanks as well Tom. I'll be sure to check it out.

Anyone know what these penny boxes typically sell for?

I saw one the other day in an antique store and they were asking about $200 if I remember correctly.  I thought that seemed high.

Typically between $50 and $100 (+/-) is my guess, but I don't see them often enough to have a good grasp of value.
I've owned 2-3 of them and paid between $40 and $70 for each of them.
I sold a nice clean complete original (the $40 one) on eBay for over $400 several years ago.  biggrin
I currently have a complete penny rejector (with wired switch) for one.
