Hey Gang. Guy across the sub has a Coke Westinghouse cooler and he wants to get rid of it. What are they worth. It has the 2 lids. Seems to be in really good shape. I think he said he was going to sell at his garage sale for $200.

Brian,

Is it ice-cooled or does it have a compressor?  If it has a compressor, it's a water bath.  Often times, people have taken the compressor and circulator motor out to make them ice coolers.  You can always tell by a cut-out near one top corner, which is where the lines ran.  Either way, these things are pretty common and don't pull much.  Something often missing is the drain assembly.

It's a pretty expensive Flower Pot ,, since that is about all they are good for in my opion,,, cool looking non the less, but expensive for a porch sitter...
$100 bucks and maybe you could spin it off, but won't get rich doing it..

I am not interested. I thought maybe someone here might be. Cool machine, but I am not a Coke guy.

Ha! Flower Pot... That is EXACTLY what my standard Coke was used for... Bought it from
a widow who kept it on her sun porch... sat the potted plants on 2X4s down inside....
I personally love that cooler design and size... The ribs along the front bottom and
cap catcher..... very nice design... I paid $300 for it.... solid no rust... good lids... just as all my machines.... needs a paint job.
I would say the lids are worth $75 -$100 each.... a lot of juniors out there with rotted out lids
or no lids at all and the cap catcher would be another $75-$100, handles can be worth $25 -$50 if they're the deco ribbed ones.... So I don't think $200 is too bad just can't make any money off
them... If you bought it you'd have to buy it cause you like it... great size for the back porch.... for
BBQs.... or potted plants smile

I use a Junior for partys. I throw sodas in it and dump ice on top. I love using it and it always starts up conversations. But restoring one can add up and the repros are plentiful and inexpensive.

I am powder coating one right now and I have another with a single stage enamel paint job. The liners I am putting in them are stainless steel and cost about $75.00 to make. I have been buying lids for another $75.00 to $100.00 and the repro cap catchers run $45.00. It adds up quickly

If any of you have an original cap catcher for one of these boxes I would love to purchase it.
