This is the same way I've been doing it. I've tried the cardboard trick when it was posted but for me this works much better.

Just tried it last night and it did work really well. I did have to have one other person help me move the liner just because I was woried about dropping it just slid in and the tape all came out.

Glad I saw this tip.
I’ve used cardboard on bigger machines (V39, Cavaliers) and had no problem but just redid a VMC 27 and can’t believe how easy it went. No way with how little space there was around the liner would I have been able to use cardboard. Plus with the curve at the top you just can’t make cardboard do what you want.
