What really (REALLY) stumps me about all of this is how ANY seller would go along with this 'no negatives for the buyer' thing.
eBay must really have a lot of people under their thumb!  veryangry

Sadly, I can kind of see this as possibly a good thing.  My only negative came as retaliatory feedback because I left a negative for the seller (I've seen this happen to many people).  Notice how most sellers will not leave feedback until the buyer does?  They do this so they can neg a person who negs them. In other words, they hold their feedback ransom!  I think instead ther should be a safeguard built in so that if one person leaves a negative the other person can not leave a negative.

Because of sellers using this technique, I don't leave feedback to anyone that doesn't leave me feedback after they have promptly received my payment ! ! !  Their feedback should be based on how my half of the transaction took place; not after I leave legitimate feedback(negative) for slow delivery, not described properly or a host of other reasons, period ! ! !

I too seek forgiveness, I bought  replacement chrome pieces for my Seeburg,  it was cheaper  to replace than to  try to repair cracks before rechroming

If anyone else checks e-bay listings by newly listed items first, you probably
also noticed a much shorter list through that strike week. This weekend newly listed
items have doubled.
I am sure there were journalists who were watching and studying the cause and effects of the boycott and hopefully we get a report from them soon.

Here's an interesting read  on the reason behind the Ebay changes

http://seekingalpha.com/article/66733-ebay-bares-its-ugly-new-fac

The article is geared more toward investors, but  explains what is going on behind the scenes at Ebay.

And  though Ebay  denies it,  I've read  from a variety of sources  that Ebay took a 10-13% in auctions thatweek. Start adding up the  additional fees  for pictures, multiple listings, in addition to the initial  fee and it  adds up to a whole lotta red ink.

Edit:  fixed some typos
